Where are you going?
The steering and front suspension, if not kept in top condition, can put you in a ditch or over the bank. This clinic will be about what it takes to keep the steering doing what it is supposed to do and keep you on the pavement.
The clinic will start with an examination of how the steering and suspension is designed and how it's supposed to work. There are many components involved. We will look at each part and what they are supposed to do and what happens when they don't operate as they are supposed to do.
On our cars there are peg and scroll, rack and pinion and some other variations of the main steering. Each needs specific maintenance to keep them accurate
and safe.
Then we'll look at the suspension. Bushings and bearings wear and also need maintenance. Not only is there maintenance but over the years new and improved
stuff has been developed.
We will finish with how to set up and check the steering and suspension. As part of this we will put a car on the scales and check the overall setup of the suspension. The idea of this clinic is to keep you safe and on the road, not in the ditch!
